Skrillex teases new work with Rick Ross, possible ‘Suicide Squad’ theme song

Hip-hop needs Skrillex. From being one of Chance the Rapper‘s earliest supporters to working on The Game’s comeback record in 2015, Skrillex and hip-hop have always had a critical relationship. A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, and Vic Mensa have all rapped over Skrillex beats and now, a new ID has surfaced out of Atlantic City’s WAV Nightclub that’s packed with Rick Ross bars. Here we go again.

While the track is still nameless, the lyrics point to what could very well be a new feature for upcoming Warner Bros. action film, Suicide Squad. Although the only trace of the new collaboration is live footage from the show, the preview finds Skrillex pushing one of his most ambitious hip-hop productions yet matched with Rozay’s iconic Miami-bred trap rhymes. There is no word on an official release date as of now, but with blockbuster movie season nearly underway and Suicide Squad slated for an early August release, expect Skrillex and Rick Ross to come through with some summer heat in the coming months.
