Watch This: Jodie Sweetin gets an assist from Dillon Francis and Skrillex on Dancing With The Stars
Rare is the electronic music fan who doesn’t like to dance; the thought itself seems almost antithetical on a fundamental level. One of the biggest appeals of the scene is being grabbed by the music and grooving to it, whether it be by jumping, hugging a friend or stranger, or unleashing the most beloved and versatile move of all time. But if electronic shows lack one thing, it’s an opportunity to show off more classically-inclined styles of dance. Though, that doesn’t mean that the two disciplines are incompatible.
Case in point: Jodie Sweetin on Dancing With The Stars. The titular star, who rose to fame as Stephanie Tanner on beloved sitcom Full House and currently starring the sequel series Fuller House, used Dillon Francis and Skrillex‘s “Bun Up The Dance” for the competition’s Latin-themed episode. Cleverly choosing a moombahton — a genre that owes a quite a bit to reggaeton — track, Sweetin puts on a sultry performance and manages to outshine her three partners.
More importantly, perhaps, she may have inspired a coming trend of sambas at future Dillon Francis shows.
