DA Premiere: Markus Schulz brings us nostalgic video for ‘Summer Dream’
Markus Schulz experienced an overwhelming sense that something had been missing from his career following his Scream albums and his widely successful New World Punx venture with Ferry Corsten. He discovered shortly after that what he sought was to return to his roots as a musician, writing meaningful lyrics played out with live instruments that captured his authenticity as an artist. A long period of intense writing and trial-and-error followed, giving way to his seminal album Watch The World, whose anthemic single “Destiny” resonated well with his audience.
“Summer Dream” is the latest single from Watch The World, released alongside a nostalgic video for the electronic rendition of the track which follows a group of friends through their road trip down coastal parts of California. Mia Koo’s ethereal vocals are accompanied by subtle piano accents which erupt into bittersweet synth progressions as the two sets of friends live carefree days filled with classic summer romance.
