Halsey and Lido drop surprise collaboration
Halsey and Badlands producer/Norwegian wunderkind Lido have dropped a surprise collaboration. The short song, “Tokyo Narita – Freestyle” is a fuzzy, glo-fi number that runs through a day in the singer’s life. Between blowing off Vogue parties and driving down the 405, Halsey talks listening to Drake’s Views and Kanye’s legendary 808s & Heartbreak.
The blissed-out, meandering production takes a cue from the moodier tracks off the aforementioned albums. Halsey’s emotional affectation is only compounded by the pair’s romantic history–split, but still living together according to an interview from late last year.
The singer’s summer calendar is already packed with festival dates, a sold out show at Madison Square Garden, and a rumored Skrillex collab on the way.
