Radiohead’s new album to drop May 8; listen to new single ‘Daydreaming’
When it was announced in April that a new Radiohead album was on its way, the hype and anticipation reached a fever pitch immediately. Things only escalated as the band delivered mysterious pamphlets to fans, erased their online presence, and released their new single “Burn The Witch” with a claymation video.
The Oxfordshire quintet has now shared their second single, “Daydreaming.” The official video features frontman Thom Yorke walking hurriedly around an empty parking garage, looking concerned — though, admittedly, Yorke is something of a cypher. The musical accompaniment features tape effects to make the track slide and reconfigure, while also featuring a twinkling chime-like sound. The band has collaborated with Hollywood auteur Paul Thomas Anderson for the video.
Radiohead has also confirmed that their album will be released on May 8.
