Snails shares heartfelt Coachella recap with Skrillex, Flosstradamus, and more
Quebecois producer Snails has been producing soul-rupturing bass music on the Kannibalen label for more than three years now, but first began to broach the public eye in 2014, when Jack Ü premiered his breakthrough hit, “Wild,” at Ultra. In the two years that have since passed, Snails has experienced a powerful ascension, collaborating with the likes of Jack Ü and Big Gigantic, and earning slots at some of the world’s most coveted festivals.
The peak of Snails’ performance career thus far has been his appearance at this year’s Coachella, where he preceded Zhu and RL Grime in the Sahara tent. To express his appreciation for this, Snails has released a sentimental recap video of this career milestone. Over show footage set to his Big Gigantic collaboration, “Funk With Me,” Snails thanks the DJs who joined him onstage for the performance, including Skrillex, Flosstradamus, Marshmello, and KSHMR. In the video, the producer notes, “A year ago I was sitting in my studio making music watching this crazy Coachella live stream. I thought, ‘can you imagine what it would be to be one of those artists? Like, the feeling?'”
Snails must feel much vindication in having now experienced his pipe-dream, which seems to be only beginning.
