Trentemøller to release fourth studio album ‘Fixion’ in September

Trentemøller transcends musical boundaries in his writing process, gathering his immense songwriting talent, music knowledge, and mastery of instruments into an eclectic range of productions that span from soul-wrenching ambient to techno. His expert sound manipulation and incorporation of heavy instrumentation into electronic compositions have led him to stand out as a domineering force throughout the industry. Over the years, he’s continuesd to defy genres and influence other artists to follow sonic trends he sets forth.

The legendary Danish artist sunk into a relative hiatus following Lost three years ago, save for assisting Savages with their latest album and a silent cameo earlier in 2016 with a remix to jennylee’s “Boom Boom.” We can now theorize this dormancy stemmed from heavy studio work, as he’s revealed the pending release of his fourth album Fixion in September on his label In My Room. The first single, “River In Me,” and its accompanying video will come out on June 24.

Fixion has been labeled as a “logical succession to Lost,” implying that the upcoming release will be filled with the similar kind of eccentricity and subtle anguish that we’re used to hearing from the producer. Fixion will also be followed by a selection of intimate shows across the United States and Europe before the official tour takes place in 2017.
