Watch Skrillex go back-to-back with Four Tet at FORM Festival
The Hundred Waters-curated FORM Festival appears to be one-of-a-kind in its experience. The festival, located in Arizona’s Arcosanti desert, is free for attendees based on application, but incredibly exclusive in its selection process. For FORM’s currently-ongoing third installation, the festival has doubled their allowance of attendees from last year to a total of capacity of 1,200 – an incredibly diminutive number considering that the 30 artist roster includes names like Skrillex, Four Tet, and Mija.
Among a number of of highly-coveted sets, TED Talks, and other enticing experiences, one of the most anticipated showings was Four Tet and Skrillex’s headlining B2B performance. Given Four Tet’s veteran reputation as a cerebrally unique performer and Skrillex’s chameleonic ability to complement the style of practically any collaborator, the notion of a set between the two artists is as scintillating as it is envy-inducing.
Videos circulating from the set indicate that the purportedly legendary B2B lived up to its hype. In the varied footage below, Skrillex adds a metallic edge to Four Tet’s cerebral essence, and vice versa. Further intriguing is the psychedelic backdrop of the FORM setting, the intimacy of which is evinced blatantly by the small gathering of attendees grooving to Skrillex and Bonobo‘s dawn B2B in the final video.
