W&W reveal their festival mix of Mike Posner’s ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’
Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” became the poster child for mainstream dance music when Seeb released his remix of the track last summer — and understandably so. Seeb’s remix of the Posner-penned song had everything the pop-house loving raver could desire: melodic pads, catchy vocals, and references to both Avicii and MDMA (though we could have done without the latter). With the addition of a lead synth reminiscent of the “Lean On” drop, the track met all the criteria of a commercial EDM success.
W&W have since upped the ante of Seeb’s remix to breathe new life into its melodic, but mellow, core. By raising the tempo, adding an exuberant build, and throwing in some classic big room synths and kicks, the Dutch duo have enlivened Seeb’s remix to be a veritable pop house anthem, which will surely be inescapable at every festival mainstage this summer. Watch W&W enrapture ravers with their festival edit in the video above.
