Apple confirms a complete overhaul of Apple Music interface

Apple announced today, June 13, at the World Wide Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, that their music streaming service, Apple Music, will receive a complete redesign alongsideĀ the release of iOS 10.

Apple Music‘s entire interface will see sleek new changes to help functionality and user-friendliness, with a handful of exciting new designs. Launching last summer and amassing 15 million subscribers in just under a year, Apple Music’s new design is aimed more closely at competing with Spotify‘s offerings with a new layout of features.

One of the more noteworthy shifts on the platform will be a new “For You” page, which will incorporate the service’s current Connect function. Apple will deliver users playlists every day, curated to each user based on their likes and tastes. The new design will also put a larger focus on artwork and new additions to subscribers’ libraries. Moreover, new changes include pull-down track lyrics pages and the introduction of music-friendly messaging.

iOS 10, along with a new and improved Apple Music app, will be available later this fall.
