After 20 years of being involved with music, Joris Voorn has seemingly perfected the delicate nature of the remix. The Dutch producer tends to be a bit reserved in his output, but the quality of each one of his releases is what sets him apart.

For quite some time now, Voorn’s focus has been on extracting emotion from a tune, opting to weave a web of subtlety with his work. His latest release follows suit. Adding his touch to Florian Kruse & Hendrik Burkhard’s “The Ground,” Voorn enhances the eerie air of the original, layering in piano chords and orchestral elements to conjure up some cinematic deep house drama.

Joris Voorn’s remix comes as the second track in Florian Kruse & Hendrik Burkhard’s The Ground EP, out now on Voorn’s label, Green.
