Hardwell to voice a character in upcoming animated film ‘The Secret Life of Pets’
In the past year, Hardwell has blazed a trail outside the ordinary confines of the DJ booth. He followed his opening performance from The Voice of Holland with his first-ever virtual reality live stream in Miami for his headlining performance at Nikki Beach. Now he’s continuing the trend by adopting another venture: voice acting.
As reported by RTL Nieuws, Hardwell will lend his voice The Secret Life of Pets, an animated film by Universal Studios, which will arrive in theaters on July 8. While the original English-speaking cast is filled with reputable members including Kevin Hart and Ellie Kemper, the Dutch have employed their own hometown celebrity Hardwell in providing voiceover duties for the movie’s pug character named Mel. The video below shows Hardwell in action, putting on a performance just as enthusiastic as his festival appearances.
