The HIGH first popped onto our radars courtesy of Cazzette’s seminal hit ‘Sleepless,’ but has since kept a notably quiet and mysterious presence. Having more recently shown his face on Avicii’s long anticipated sophomore album cut ‘City Lights,’ the British/Swedish artist jumps back into gear with his own take on the long teased track. Channeling a more French-inspired and beat-focussed take on the vocal offering, The HIGH’s balance of retro sounds paired with his own vocal work breathes a fresh edge into the Noonie Bao-assisted original. It’s an interesting move from the ambiguous artist that we can only hope signals more material to emerge for 2015.
