Ibiza club Circoloco yields to pressure and cancels performance from disgraced producer Ten Walls
Ibiza club Circoloco faced extreme backlash after announcing that disgraced Lithuanian producer Ten Walls would be performing on July 4. The “Walking With Elephants” producer has seen himself almost completely blacklisted from the electronic music scene after posting a since-deleted homophobic rant to his Facebook in June of 2015. The rant, in which he compared homosexuals to pedophiles and referred to the LGBT community as “a different breed,” saw Ten Walls removed from appearing at Creamfields, HARD Summer, and Mysteryland.
Despite numerous mea culpas and releasing a new track via Lithuanian LGBT collective LGL, the producer is still a subject of much controversy. His booking at Circoloco caused many, including Midland, xxxy, and Elijah to speak out against his prospective performance on Twitter.
This backlash, among others, has caused Circoloco to announce on their Facebook page that they have cancelled Ten Walls’ upcoming appearance.
