Insomniac makes its way to Tampa for new event series

Festival season commenced on a rough note for Tampa this year when two people died attending the city’s Sunset Music Festival. Just under two months prior to recent events, the city’s scene was also impacted by the destruction of its main dance-music club, The Amphitheater.

A growing demand for EDM persists through these struggles, notably attracting the attention of Insomniac Events. The powerful organization has established its presence before in Florida with EDC Orlando and a handful of other events, and will now be breaking ground in Tampa with a series of Sunday shows at Beach Bar.

Beach Bar has been gaining notoriety as of late for the increase in electronic talent coming through it, and now plays an even more central role to the continued nurturing of Tampa’s scene. It recently began hosting concerts again after a period of hiatus caused by noise complaints. DJs performing at the Insomniac-sponsored events hosted at its location on the Courtney Campbell Causeway will likely draw large audiences; the roster thus far includes acts like Dillon Francis, GTA, Marshmello, and more.
