Oliver Tree – Soulmother, I Love You feat. Getter (Original Mix)
Childhood friends and California natives Getter and Oliver Tree have teamed up once again after collaborating on a track from Getter’s Radical Dude! EP released in March. The this time around, the product is a groovy indie-future bass slow jam titled “Soulmother, I Love You.” This song falls squarely on Oliver Tree’s smooth, beat driven sound, and pushes Getter, most known for furious bass music, to shift his style to something with a softer edge.
Starting with a dark and alluring drum beat pulsing under warm chords and airy coal samples, the track builds to a fluid future bass drop before resolving into a nice groove full of crisp synths and echoing textures. An interesting offering from a duo with markedly different sounds, “Soulmother, I Love You” is a fresh and unique track that will definitely see huge play out over the summer.
