Paul Oakenfold x BRKLYN x Amba Shepherd – U Are

Paul Oakenfold is adept at keeping one foot firm in the underground while also creating audience-friendly hits that keep his name visible on the commercial side of EDM. While devotedly providing fans with “full-on Fluoro” sets and promoting the spiritual sounds of Goa, the constantly busy producer and label boss also toyed with future house in 2015 and released his pop-inspired output “Beautiful World” in 2013 which was met with widespread positivity.

“U Are” has surfaced as the first single off his upcoming album PopKiller, which thus far seems like an appropriate title for the body of work that will be released in full later this year. Pairing with Amba Shepherd on vocals and BRKLYN for instrumental assistance, the three have forged a bubbly hit with lyrics built to sing along to on long drives. Simple chord progressions strummed by acoustic guitars and light synths are paired with a dance-worthy drop, forecasting success among mass audiences and a track easily adapted to the main stage.
