Paul van Dyk confirms his first performance since ASOT injury

Paul van Dyk announced today via Facebook that he will return to the decks for the first time following his fall from an ASOT festival stage nearly three months ago.

Van Dyk will play the Dreamstate stage at the 20th incarnation of Insomniac’s flagship festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, in Las Vegas.

The trance legend fell off the elevated main stage at the ASOT festival in Utrect on February 27. He was hospitalized for a concussion as well as a few cracked vertebrae. Marcus Schulz stepped in for van Dyk at the Mexico installment of EDC days after his injury.

Posting a heartfelt thank you note to all of his fans, supporters, and those who have helped him make a speedy recovery, last month, van Dyk promised he would return to the stage, hinting it would be in June.

In mid-June, I’m returning to do what I love doing the most and am looking forward to seeing you all again! – Paul van Dyk, via Facebook

Suffice it to say van Dyk’s set will be emotional.
