Rihanna enlists R3hab, Kaytranada, Four Tet, ATTLAS and more for new remix EPs
On Wednesday, June 1 Rihanna dropped two surprised remix EPs featuring new takes on her hits “Needed Me” and “Kiss It Better.” Artists like R3hab, Salva, Four Tet, W&W, ATTLAS and Kaytranada, among others, were tasked with the remixing duties, and the results are diverse and fresh, each hitting its own sweet spot with listeners.
For his take on “Kiss It Better,” R3hab delivers a future bass take, whereas Four Tet opts for a mellow and cinematic sound. Kaytranada’s interpretation keeps to the house-ier side of things, and Feenixpawl brings the energy with a hard-hitting progressive spin.
On “Needed Me,” R3hab goes soft and tropical, Salva opts for some lush and trippy chill-out vibes, and W&W ups the tempo and the energy. ATTLAS’s take, on the other hand, offers a dose of high drama and atmospheric effervescence before Cosmic Dawn takes listeners to the dance floor with an upbeat, pop house rendition.
