The DA Hot 25: July 20, 2016

The DA Hot 25 is the definitive playlist series running through dance music culture and hand-delivering you with the essential tracks of the week. Whether it’s the hottest or quickest trending tracks, brand new music from your favorite artists, or songs from the unknown that should be landing on your radar, Dancing Astronaut brings you 25 carefully selected records that reflect what’s happening in our world.

This week was a dance music fan’s dream with stacked collaborations from Jauz & Tiesto, DJ Snake & Yellow Claw, Zeds Dead & Diplo, Skrillex & M.I.A; as well as radio-ready heat from Snakehips, Felix Jaehn, Steve James; and the epic return of Justice. Additionally, we’ve provided our picks from within The DA Hot 25, highlighting two standout tracks.

The Heat of the Week: Justice – Safe & Sound

There was no other choice but to have Justice’s come back track, “Safe & Sound,” as The Heat of the Week. The dance music pioneers return with their legendary funk in tow as they prepare to send waves through the dance sphere with their forthcoming album.

The Breakout Select: Snakehips – Cruel (feat. ZAYN)

UK dance-pop pair, Snakehips, found major success in the crossover realm with their breakout hit, “All My Friends,” and they’re looking for a repeat with their new ZAYN-assisted single “Cruel.” Playful, seductive, and catchy all in one, “Cruel” is certainly going to see its fair share of commercial radio play for the remainder of the summer.

Tune in each Wednesday, exclusively on Apple Music, where The DA Hot 25 debuts weekly on our curator page.
