Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff to captain this year’s It’s The Ship
Ex-Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has been revealed as captain of the third edition of It’s The Ship, one of Southeast Asia’s largest dance music festivals and the continent’s largest festival at sea. His role is more symbolic than practical; in lieu of manning the decks, Hasselhoff will spend his time making announcements, appearing throughout the vessel for activities, and hosting a gala dinner.
It’s The Ship is held aboard a 15-deck cruise liner, upon which guests can visit a casino, rock climbing wall with an ocean view, full-size basketball court, ice skating rink, mini golf course, duty-free shopping promenade, and 17 bars, clubs, and lounges. The ship docks in the Maylaysian state of Penang, and is held over four days and three nights from November 4 through 7 this year. This year’s line-up includes Dada Life, Andrew Rayel, Knife Party, Sander Van Doorn, Watermät, and more.
The sold-out 2015 event hosted 3,800 attendees from 50 different countries. Tickets are still available here.
