Good Morning Mix: Marques Wyatt at Focus 360
Marques Wyatt has been captivating dancefloors since the mid-80s. One of the forefathers of house music on the West Coast, the LA-based DJ is a beloved veteran of the scene, and an absolute joy to watch behind the decks. Last year, Wyatt took to Focus OC — the venerated house music weekly in Newport Beach — to perform from one of the club’s rare Focus 360 nights. With immersive 360 degree visuals enrapturing the audience, Wyatt threw down a proper education in authentic house music — and fortunately for all of us who couldn’t be there, the set was recorded in clean condition. Now, ahead of this week’s brand new Focus 360 event going down, we revisit Marques Wyatt’s classy performance.
