Gosh Pith – Gold Chain (AceMyth Remix)
Detroit-based duo Gosh Pith have been producing together since 2014, but found their unique hometown-influenced sound in earnest earlier in 2016 on “Gold Chain.” The sleek R&B-influenced production features vocals from one-half of the group Josh Smith, accompanied by electric guitar and light percussion throughout.
Fellow Michigan-based artist AceMyth was given official rework duties for the record, incorporating future bass and glitch-hop inspired elements in his breezy edit. Leaving Smith’s mellow vocal topline intact, AceMyth’s hip-hop accented beats and mesmerizing break make for a unique take on the soulful original production.
