Gucci Mane to feature on official remix of Major Lazer’s ‘Cold Water’
Gucci Mane has been efficiently managing his time since his highly-publicized release from prison earlier this summer. He’s already released a full-length studio project and announced forthcoming new work with Drake, as well as a number of other top-name rappers. Now we have the Atlanta rapper working on yet another headline-making project, with Major Lazer, Justin Bieber, and MØ‘s freshly-minted new summer smash, “Cold Water,” in his crosshairs.

The long-awaited collaboration features a star-studded team of writers and producers, including credited contributions from Ed Sheeran and Benny Blanco. Featuring Bieber’s infectious top line and MØ’s complementing accompaniment over Major Lazer’s breezing dancehall beat, “Cold Water” is bound to be in rotation all summer long.
Wasting no time, the Atlanta trap icon took to Snapchat in show his support of the new tune. Gucci soon began to churn hype on a new “Cold Water” remix in the works, and it seems the idea may have already come to fruition.
Word has it Diplo already snuck in a crowd test in New York City during a slot at Brunch Bounce. With the original tune still picking up steam as one of the defining hits of the summer, Gucci Mane’s impending contribution could make “Cold Water” even bigger.
