Jinco – Tokyo
Santa Cruz-based Jinco cranks out tracks at an astonishing pace, but that certainly doesn’t imply they are weak. “Tokyo” serves as a more full-fledged production than most of what we hear from the future bass genre today. The track paints a dazzling and emotional picture with impressive instrumental work under a hypnotizing vocal line.
Jinco’s rise has been rapid over the past few months, but it’s not undeserved: his studio talents shine over the sea of sound-alikes born into the bass genre every day. “Tokyo” most likely won’t be popping off at the mainstage of your favorite festival, but that isn’t its purpose. The production is a beautiful piece of music — the kind we, as electronic music fans, should be encouraging all artists to make.
