Canadian duo, Love Thy Brother, translate their consistent remix success into a debut original that dabbles in indie dance. After a string of Hype Machine chart toppers, the siblings step out from the parentheses and lead off with the Ariel Beesley lead “Love Me Better.” Beesley’s bawdy vocals feel right at home amongst the pair’s spattering of electro pop and house rhythms. The result is a charming and catchy nostalgic romp back to the days of acts like Marina and the Diamonds. It’s not easy to shake off the “remix artist” distinction, but these two Canucks prove that they are anything but.
