Check out Pioneer DJ’s brand new all-in-one controller
Pioneer has announced their most ambitious DJ controller to date: the DDJ-RZX. The new unit is a 4-deck controller complete with three touch screens, a familiar CDJ/DJM build, and video mixing capabilities.
The controller arrives on the heels of Pioneer’s new Rekordbox video update, and is meant to complement the new software by offering features like slideshows, camera output, and native control of videos — the latter of which will allow DJs to perform videos as if they were audio tracks.
The main draw of the unit, aside from the video playback, is the addition of the 7″ touch screens, which allow enlarged waveforms, new touch FXs, and video previewing. Unlike its laptop-less predecessor, the XDJ-RX, however, the DDJ-RZX will not have standalone capability. Regardless, it’s an attractive option for bedroom and touring DJs alike, with clear advantages for any working DJ on the club, bar, or wedding circuit interested in integrating video into their setup.
The DDJ-RZX is expected to arrive in July, and will retail for $2,999.
