Skrillex and Valentino Khan’s elusive ‘Slam Dunk’ finally released

Valentino Khan and Skrillex‘s long-awaited collaboration, “Slam Dunk,” has finally come to fruition. The track had previously found live debuts everywhere from OWSLA Radio to some of Skrillex’s most noteworthy headlining sets of the year, but the elusive, semi-nameless collaboration continued to bounce around the internet until now. Linking with Kansas City-based rapper Kstylis, the group run a three man weave, mashing up Khan’s hypnotic jungle bounce with Kstylis’ twerk-primed vocal chops, and Skrillex’s boisterous bass hits.

“Slam Dunk” is an unabashed roof-raiser, and though it was previously thought to remain strictly a live weapon “for DJs by DJs,” the track has now found an official release on OWSLA. Coming just a week after Skrillex’s feverishly-awaited “Purple Lamborghini,” Sonny Moore maintains the hip-hop-leaning arc of  2016 while Valentino Khan puts forth his best work since “Deep Down Low.”
