Skrillex and Wiwek drop official ‘Killa’ remix EP

OWSLA has proven to be a fitting home for Wiwek‘s untamable sound. The budding Dutch beatmaker has championed a boisterous brew of big room house, trap, and dubstep influences, creating his own sub-genre in the process, endearingly known as “jungle terror.”

The music is primal, aggressive, and organic, and when Wiwek emerged on the scene, it was clear it would only be a matter of time before he would link with Skrillex for something big. The pair finally proctored their long-awaited collaboration with Elliphant in February, “Killa,” and since then, it seems as though Wiwek’s penchant for jungle terror has spread to some key up-and-comers as the track has now received an official remix EP.

The “Killa” remix package includes a handful of flavors, from Henry Fong‘s howling big room rework, to dubstep newcomer Quest‘s beating riddim/trap hybrid product. Aryay joins Boombox Cartel boys on a jumping, monstrous team effort while the EP concludes with perhaps the most heavily supported remix of them all from new producer Slushii.
