Zeds Dead and Diplo share new collaboration ‘Blame’
Despite serving as one of bass music’s most cherished talents, Zeds Dead have yet to officially release an album. That’s all about to change in September, however, when their newly announced debut record, Northern Lights, arrives.
The album promises plenty of star-studded collaborations, including work with the likes of Pusha T, Jadakiss, and Weezer vocalist Rivers Cuomo. Ahead of the release, Zeds Dead’s collaboration with Diplo has officially been revealed.
Perhaps the most anticipated single of the new record, the collaboration pits Elliphant’s vocals over a triumphant, pop-savvy arrangement. Blending classic dubstep sound design with vocal chops and an easily accessible structure, the track finds an easy medium between the electronic and commercial realms — due in no small part to Diplo’s deft, pop touch.
