Dillon Francis unveils first official DJ Hanzel remix alongside Drezo
Arguably, Dillon Francis‘ strongest releases of the past year have been rooted in house and techno-inspired bass tracks such as his NGHTMRE collaboration “Need You” and his remix of Tiësto and Oliver Heldens’ “The Right Song.” This branch of Francis’ productions can, in part, be traced back to his collaborations with dark house artist Drezo under the tongue-in-cheek DJ Hanzel moniker.
It seems that Drezo and Hansel have returned to the studio to take “Need You” one step deeper. Dillon Francis has released a preview of the collaborative remix, set to footage from his set as DJ Hanzel at Atlanta’s Imagine Festival. The video, which only previews the track’s drop, doesn’t show exactly how the remix integrates pieces of the original song. However, the ominous, cerebral stylings of Drezo complement the low-end minimalism of “Need You” fittingly. Currently, no release date is set for the remix, but it will likely continue to appear in Dillon Francis’ sets over the next several months.
