DJ Snake earns his first #1 slot on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart

DJ Snake has ascended to the number one slot on Billboard‘s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart for the first time with his first full-length album, Encore. The French artist’s debut LP sold 8,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen Music.

The project is full of collaborative efforts, including the lead single “Let Me Love You” featuring Justin Bieber, which debuted at the No. 5 slot on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and No 1 on Digital Songs sales chart. It is only the seventh song to debut in the top five chart positions since the chart’s January 2013 inception, and the first song of 2016 to do so.

DJ Snake also pocketed his third chart leader on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs with “Let Me Love You”; his first and second were “Turn Down For What” featuring Lil Jon, and “Lean On” with Major Lazer and MØ, respectively.

Update: August 19: DJ Snake has announced that this will be his last album.
