Fabric shuts its doors until a license review is held
Following an investigation of two drug-related deaths last weekend, London’s Fabric will remain closed until a license review is held in the next month. The club’s license has been temporarily revoked after two 18-year-old males passed away from drug overdoses — one on August 6 after collapsing outside the venue early Saturday morning.
“Officers felt the need to act due to concerns about the safety of those attending the club because of the supply of class A drugs in the venue and the recent deaths of two young men linked to the club,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman commented.
Fabric has yet to issue a statement regarding its extended closing, though last week the club publicly acknowledged the necessity for shedding light on the two deaths.
