Kygo to perform at the Olympics closing ceremony
Kygo is apparently incapable of plateauing. From the release of his seminal “Sexual Healing” remix that set his career on a meteoric rise, to the monumental success of his debut album Cloud Nine, and the announcement of an upcoming fashion line, the Norwegian producer has only seen his star rise further and further.
The tropical house maestro has now announced another honor to check off his bucket list: closing down the 2016 Olympics. Revealed on his Facebook page, the producer’s tropical flourishes and breezy vibes are a perfect fit for Rio and the games’ atmosphere. His performance will come on Sunday, August 21 during the Olympics closing ceremony.
The performance harkens back to Tiësto’s historic appearance at the Olympics opening ceremony in Athens back in 2004, and will undoubtedly serve as the biggest moment of Kygo’s career thus far. Read his full statement below:
