Sound Remedy announces retirement from music
Sound Remedy has officially announced his retirement from music. The Chicago-born bass music producer broke the news via Facebook, writing, “It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that 2016 will be my final year playing shows.”
Sound Remedy came to notoriety thanks to a seemingly endless slew of charming remixes that never failed to enrapture the blogosphere. His most prevalent style was a mix of trap, dubstep, and 8-bit sound design — typically backed by some sensuous female vocals. It was combination that led to multiple tracks with million plays across streaming services, and eventually translated over to the success of his own original productions.
Sound Remedy will perform his remaining dates in 2016 before calling it quits. In his goodbye post, he’s also left some parting advice for any artists out there.
