Carribean techno event SXM Festival announces 2017 edition
Techno takes over the tropics in 2017 for the sophomore return of one of dance music’s newest underground rave destinations: SXM Festival.
Located on the pristine beaches and lush geography of Saint Martin in the Caribbean, this five-day paradisal escape epitomizes the word “ravecation” attracting some of the world’s most sought-after underground talents like Jamie Jones, Apollonia, BLOND:ISH, Thugfucker, Bedouin, DJ Tennis, Adriatique, Maceo Plex, Danny Daze, Guy Gerber and more for its inaugural edition in March 2016.
The oceanside affair has announced its formal return next March. The event’s organizer, Julian Prince, commented: “Having entertained over two and a half thousand of underground electronic music’s elite this year with insane parties on beaches, jungles, rooftops, villas and the best venues on the island, plans are rapidly taking shape to blow our 2016 event out of the water.”
SXM Festival is setting the standard among a burgeoning scene of destination music festivals around the world and Prince promises 2017 edition will have “bigger and better line ups, more parties, more VIP events all taking place at killer locations on land, sea and beyond.”
SXM Festival takes place in Saint Martin on March 15-19, 2017. Tickets go on sale August 24.
