Tiga – ‘Blondes Have More Fun’ (The Black Madonna Immaterial Girl Remix)
Underground dance deity Tiga has released the second single from his “Blondes Have More Fun” remix package. The jam originally appeared as a closer on this year’s No Fantasy Required with a Prince-esque vocal shrouded in atmospheric beats. While the producer premiered an unsurprisingly moody turn from Jonas Rathsman last week, the second offering is an infectious turn from Chicago’s The Black Madonna.
Using the classic sounds of the Moog Voyager, The Black Madonna (producer Marea Stamper) has transformed the original into a compelling floor filler without compromising the original’s sultry pout.
“Reimagining someone else’s work is one of the most fun parts of producing for me,” said Stamper in an interview. “It was also great to get to try out my new powerhouse synthesizer, the Moog Voyager, which I picked up from Moogfest… From all of us at Team Madge, enjoy this rubberband funk re-rub of Tiga’s jam!”
Says Tiga of Stamper’s rework: “Rarely do I feel somebody nail the real, true, deep funk that I always crave…. and now, I got it. A killer remix, that I will be supporting heavily.”
The third and final remix on the release–from Running Back boss Gerd Janson–is due to arrive sometime later this month.
