Watch the trailer for Skrillex and Wiwek’s debut short film
Skrillex and Wiwek have announced their debut short film Still in the Cage. The new short — directed by Canadian filmmaker Jodeb — takes place in Bangkok and follows a group of friends who leave the city in search of an abandoned settlement in the jungle. The film has been scored by Wiwek, and features music from the Dutch producer’s recent OWSLA EP, The Free and Rebellious, including the Skrillex collaboration, “Killa.”
The short film is set to debut this Wednesday, August 17, at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown LA. Ahead of the premiere, OWSLA has shared the official trailer. Based on the 1:30 min preview, the film looks to follow a similar art direction to Skrillex’s music video for “Red Lips,” albeit even darker.
