Over 400 arrests made at Nocturnal Wonderland
Following the death of three attendees at this year’s HARD Summer, the future of festivals in California has become considerably uncertain. A proposed ban on the events at the San Manuel Amphitheater was shot down in June but has recently found a second wind from county officials who wish to discuss the issue further following recent events.
Recent news out of Insomniac Events‘ Nocturnal Wonderland, held over Labor Day Weekend at San Manuel, is likely to increase governmental opposition to the return of festivals to the amphitheater. Over 400 individuals were arrested at the festival for a variety of drug and alcohol charges. No fatalities were reported, though two individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities have yet to make a statement responding to the rash of arrests.
