Chapter 24 Records releases shadowy new 7-track compilation, ‘The Quest’
Chapter 24 Records is a label which prides itself on storytelling. Through each new release, the imprint aims to craft a sonic narrative by blending together some of the more austere tones in house and techno. Since establishing itself in 2014, Chapter 24 has focused not only on original releases from the label’s artists, but also on its Seven Stories compilation series.
The series commenced with “Overcoming The Monster” and then moved to “Rags To Riches,” both of which received support from the likes of Maceo Plex, Claude VonStroke, and Paco Osuna. Now Chapter 24 returns with their third Seven Stories compilation, “The Quest.” With tracks from Tijuana’s Machino and France’s Teho, the seven songs weave an eerie story that would easily find a happy home among a hazy, extended club set.
