The Essential Mix to make NYC live debut with Seth Troxler

After making its first-ever American broadcast in Los Angeles in January and Miami in March, BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix is officially heading to the Big Apple for its NYC live debut. Pete Tong, Seth Troxler and local DJ Eli Escobar, best known for producing Tiki Disco, will celebrate the Essential Mix’s first New York broadcast on September 23 at Wiliamsburg’s Output.

“I’ve been coming to NYC for almost 30 years, from my days A+Ring at London Records, when I was lucky enough to visit The Garage and Mancuso’s Loft, to playing some incredible sets in my DJ career,” Pete Tong commented. “This city has always been at the heart of global club culture and I’m delighted to be bringing the Essential Mix here to celebrate that with one of America’s finest underground DJs, Seth Troxler.”

At the top of 2016, Richie Hawtin took the decks at Exchange LA for the first leg in the official Essential Mix Live series in North America. The radio show headed to Miami Music Week shortly after, offering fans a special stream of Pete Tong’s annual All Gone Pete Tong featuring Joris Voorn, Kolsch, Armand Van Helden, and more.
