Jauz shares drum ‘n’ bass remix of Porter Robinson’s ‘Language’
In 2012, Porter Robinson released his career-defining hit, “Language.” The emotional track was easily the most fully realized composition of his then-young catalogue, offering a taste of the artistic development that would come to fruition on his debut album Worlds.
4 years later, the track is still making the rounds, both in Porter’s performances and his fellow DJs. The latest evidence to support the claim is a new remix of “Language” from versatile producer Jauz. The breakout LA-based artist recently revealed a short clip of him spinning a drum ‘n’ bass edit of “Language” during Mad Decent’s Saturday night Block Party at Colorado’s Red Rocks, which appears to be his own.
Jauz captioned the video with “maybe something new I’m working on… ;),” supporting the theory that it is in fact his remix. While we’ve seen the producer dabble in everything from dubstep to bass house, drum ‘n’ bass marks new sonic territory for Jauz, albeit not unwelcome experimentation.
