Not only NYC residents but also two of bass music’s most exciting acts, KANDY and Callie Reiff turn to A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold imprint to round out Reiff’s forthcoming EP, Shadow Dancing, with their debut collaboration, “Jawbreaker.” While the two young talents have dabbled in a number of genres during their respective rises, “Jawbreaker” is a pivot for both artists into the bass house realm. The track’s hype quickly begins to swell — thanks to a rowdy sample from reggae duo, RaGa Twins — as Kandy and Reiff take listeners to a roaring climax of earsplitting bass convulsions.
