Back in July, we teamed up with WAVO for a remix competition to Philip Mikal’s electro-tinged vocal single, “Waiting 4,” featuring Ola.  The Swedish producer delivered a cheery crossover hit ripe with remix potential.

While there were no shortage of compelling submissions, Barcelona producer DayBeat ultimately took the top honors, transforming Mikal’s summer anthem into a funky house rendition. DayBeat compliments the original’s stirring vocals with a vigorous bassline, propelling the track forward with a relentless groove — the result of which in a surefire dancefloor smash.
