Studio 338 team announces new London club The Bridge

Not long after being engulfed in flames, leaving one deceased, Southeast London’s Studio 338 has announced a new venture, The Bridge. The 500-capacity space, which will span two floors and several outdoor areas, will open to the public on November 12.

The new underground dance music spot will celebrate its opening day with a 15-hour party featuring the likes of Kowton, Voigtmann and Saoirse, among others. A number of preview shows will also be held throughout September and October with Art of Dark, Toi Toi Musik and Undersound.

“The smaller size presents an opportunity for some really cutting edge programming and we already have a number of my friends and favourite promoters like Toi Toi and Undersound, as well as my own co-owned Art Of Dark on board for the initial preview parties,” said The Bridge’s music and events director Dan Perrin. “Ultimately I would like The Bridge to become a new hub for underground live and electronic music in East London. Somewhere with a program that’s consistently good enough for people to be able to come whenever they like and hear something great”

Perrin’s hope is to curate an expansive, thought-provoking musical program that resides outside the realm of traditional electronic music. Meanwhile, as developments for The Bridge begin to take shape, the team behind Studio 338 is also working to re-open the venue’s terrace.
