Watch What So Not drop a new remix to ‘Stranger Things’

Chris Emerson has fully launched the solo iteration of What So Not. Since releasing his Divide & Conquer EP September 9, Emerson has begun showcasing his catalogue of unreleased endeavors throughout stops on his tour. This past weekend, a video of the producer playing his forthcoming collaboration with Skrillex and RL Grime garnered great publicity.

Now, a fan has captured video footage of What So Not capitalizing upon perhaps the most popular current remixing trope: the “Stranger Things” theme. From budding producers hopping onto keywords with proven success to deadmau5 himself, the central musical motif for the popular Netflix original series has become nearly ubiquitous in the dance music realm. Though the below video has not been confirmed to be a What So Not production, the remix’s integration of the theme song with minimal trap rhythms and lush, futuristic pads strongly suggests that this is the Australian producer’s own work. Either way, the well-crafted remix will likely be a staple in What So Not sets for months to come.
