Aruna – Sunrise (Aruna vs Kayoh Remix)
What If/Sunrise’s release was yet another testament to Aruna’s skills as not just a singer, but a producer. Its B-side melded together her prowess along with the collaborative efforts of Aerosoul to create an exhilarating clip which soars like a trance piece, yet drops like it belongs in a large arena.
“What If” has been re-worked by a multitude of DJs, and now it’s time for “Sunrise” to receive similar treatment. Aruna selected a diverse group of remixers from all sides of electronic, from heavier drum ‘n’ bass presented by Specialist Sound, to a light, festive rendition by Daun Giventi.
The standout remix, however, is that of Aruna and Kayoh, who put together a stunning liquid bass interpretation which gives off an airy feeling despite its heavier drops. Warm instrumentation ties the track together, making it a nice addition to a peak-time playlist. All remixes are available as a bundle through Enhanced.
