DA Premiere: Madame – Whisper (Original Mix)
Louis Roche stands out as one of Boysnoize Records‘ most remarkable rising talents, which is no small feat given the imprint’s formidable pool of contenders. Producing under the deceptively demure Madame moniker, Roche has established himself as one of France’s heaviest techno imports. The quaking fortitude of Madame’s Shuffle and Perc99 EPs earned him a spot on our “25 artists to watch in 2016” list. Now, Roche is preparing for the release of Inspira, his third EP on Boys Noize’s BNR Trax sub-label, and his sixth overall.
Due for release on October 7, Inspira plunges into techno’s darkest realm. The looming essence of the EP’s titular track and the classic warehouse sensibilities of “Hardened,” his Deapmash collaboration, both provide valuable depth to the overall course of the release. “Whisper,” however, bursts forth as Inspira‘s definitive composition. Roche named “Whisper” for his synthetically-produced emulations of the human voice which permeate the track, surreptitiously navigating through harshly industrial bass-lines and pulsing percussion. Perhaps Madame’s most overpowering track yet, “Whisper” has already become a frequent component in Boys Noize sets and is poised to earn an immutable spot in the BNR faction of techno’s canon.
