Hot Creations unleashes new DJ mix series, Paradise on Earth
Since its conception in 2010, Hot Creations has become one of the most innovative and well-respected labels in the electronic music industry. Founded by UK visionaries Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, the imprint contains some of the biggest names of the underground, from Cuartero to Audiojack to Steve Lawler and WAFF. Moreover, Hot Creations continues to skillfully leverage its deep bench of talent, creating successful sub-labels, including Hottrax and Emerald City, and hosting highly celebrated events worldwide.
For the past several years, label co-founder Jones has hosted what has grown to be one of Ibiza’s most illustrious events, Paradise at club DC10. Carrying the eclectic vibes of Paradise past the end of the island’s season, Hot Creations has announced that it will be starting a series of DJ mixes called Paradise on Earth.
The series’ first segment is a special two CD mix dedicated to Mexico, featuring label signees and house heavyweights Patrick Topping and Nathan Barato. Toronto-based Barato has mixed CD one, which includes a diverse lineup of both original tracks and contributing artists such as Derrick Carter and Green Velvet, among others. Topping, who mixed the second CD, has coupled classic throwbacks with unreleased exclusives.
According to a source, each mix “fuses musical influences with exclusive new material alongside current favorites.” Considering the exceptional reputation Hot Creations has steadily built for itself over the past five years, ‘Paradise on Earth’ will likely further solidify the label as a major industry tastemaker.
