Listen to an hour-long REZZ mix filled with unreleased gems

Following the release of REZZ‘s prodigious Something Wrong Here EP, Mixmag tapped the young producer for their “Impact” series, a feature examining new artists on the cusp of making pivotal changes in dance music culture. Speaking with Mixmag‘s Valerie Lee on an array of topics ranging from being a woman in the music industry to her beliefs regarding synesthesia, Isabelle Rezazadeh also proffered a scintillating mix for the feature.

REZZ’s “Impact” mix does a great job of recapitulating the stylistic motifs of her most recent EP, drawing from a range of her influences, artists such as Mr. Fijiwiji and her most frequently referenced parallel, Gesaffelstein. More exciting than how the mix relates to Something Wrong Here, however, is how it relates to Rezazadeh’s future pipeline. The hour-long set is rife with unreleased cuts from the artist, including five original IDs and an unreleased remix of Metric’s “On A Slow Night.”

The fact that, less than a month since the release of her third EP, REZZ has such an extensive collection of unreleased productions shows that she has no intention of slowing her pace. More importantly, the caliber of these tracks indicates that she’s improving as a producer with each release.
